Affirmation Music Tracking And Recording
Our good friend Carlos Fernandez came in from Knoxville, TN today
and recorded bongos, congas and percussion on several of the
tracks. Carlos is a brilliant musician and is one of the
hardest-working and dedicated musicians on the planet. He has just
recorded and produced an amazing jazz album called "East Coast
Standards Time."
Duncan Wickel recorded violin for three songs.
Duncan has extreme command over his instrument. He has a great
career ahead of him. We wish him all the success in the
world.
We finished composing and multi-tracking for "Baba Nam
Kevalam", in honor of our friends from the Ananda Marga Yoga
Foundation. Many devotees came to the studio to record the
final choral parts for the song, singing their mantra: "love
is all there is." Thanks to all our dear friends in the Ananda
Marga organization, and to Manuel Keil, our young voice at the end
of the song.
Tom Shirah plays on "It Comes From Me."
Our friend and band mate, Tom Shirah passed away in
October 2006. Before his passing, I managed to get him in the
studio to record his horn part for "It Comes From Me." His purity
and sweetness lives on in our record. We miss him
greatly.
Richard Shulman on the Steinway grand recording parts for "I
Come From a Place of Love," and "I Choose Forgiveness." Richard is
a world-class keyboardist and composer that creates music intended
as a positive influence for himself, audiences, and society. He has
several highly-acclaimed CDs and DVDs that are available on his web
site: www.richheartmusic.com.
Thanks for your fine piano playing and great spirit on our
Soul Affirmation music project.
Amy LaDéroute tracking vocals at Chris Rosser's Studio,
Asheville, NC. Chris played dotar on "Om Namah Shivia" and is a
masterful engineer, musician, great songwriter and just plain real
nice guy.
Elsbeth Van Tongeren and Ken going over
cello parts for "I Choose
Forgiveness"
" I AM in this moment now and this is all I
have."
